Design & Development / Designing the Flows
Good task flows will take the guess-work off of the developer's plate and allow him or her to focus on what he or she knows best: how to write great code.
Task flows are diagrams detailing the user's path through specified tasks. The diagram indicates the path for both success and error conditions. Based on detailed task analysis, the results of usability testing and best practices, ADGi designs task flows that meet user goals and create outstanding user experiences.
Our task flows are an extension of our wireframes, detailing each interaction. Like our designers, our developers work with the task flows to decide how the experience should be delivered, not what needs to happen on a given page or for a given interaction.
What is a task flow?
A task flow defines the click-by-click interaction between the user and the system. It shows each step, the validation for each step, the error messages and alternative and exceptions. A task flow can be diagrammed or written out, but it must be detailed and clear.
