Design & Development / Designing the Page Structure
While the site map is the framework for the overall information space, the wireframes are the blueprint for the rooms in that space. The wireframes are where the ‘concept rubber' hits the ‘strategy road' and as a result must be crafted with care and an obsessive attention to detail.
At ADGi the wireframes are as much a part of the overall design as the graphic design is and our wireframes are delivered with as much consideration for the overall system as to each and every interaction on the page.
Our graphic designers can then work with the site map and wireframes to create the visual interface for the system. Instead of having to focus on what should be delivered (what are the priorities, what happens when the user clicks on something, what elements will make up the page), they bring their considerable skills to the question of how it should be delivered.
What is a wireframe?
The wireframe defines the page-level structure. Wireframes are developed based on the desired content and desired interactions for each page type. Determination of desired content and interaction is based on user research, business requirements as well as the UX designer's knowledge and understanding of the user and best practices.
