Design & Development / Designing the Site Structure
A site’s structure becomes the framework for the story of that site; it must deliver on the strategic thinking and will define the boundaries of the information space. A site structure that does not do this may be organized but will detract from the overall user experience, leaving you and your customers dissatisfied.
Using the content inventory, personas, and concept model as guidance, ADGi crafts site structures that tell a story, that guide the user to the desired interaction, that support the overall user experience. We have experience developing site maps for both large (many thousands of pages) and smaller (tens and hundreds of pages) sites.
What is a site map?
The site map defines the site-level structure. It is developed based on results from card sorting, business and user requirements, competitive analysis, and a thorough analysis of the available and desired content for the site. It can be structured according to user goals or tasks, audiences and subject groups depending on the business and user needs.
