Strategy / Understanding Your Customers
At ADGi we don't think about users so much as we think about the real people who will really use your site or your product.
We've found that one of the best ways to do that is through research-based persona or profile development.
Based on what you know about your users and what we can learn in researching them, we develop personas that go deeper than just an interesting story. While telling stories and finding photos of archetypical users is an interesting exercise, personas and profiles are aimed at something a little more tangible: defining user goals, tasks and motivations. With this understanding in hand we not only develop more compelling solutions, but we can also develop better task flows and use cases.
What is a Persona?
A persona is a tool used by user experience designers that describes an archetypical user's demographic information in real terms. Personas are exceptionally useful at helping the design team understand the user's motivations and goals. This understanding is key to creating an outstanding user experience.
